London Fashion Week in Review
Only Fingers and Toes had a big showing at London Fashion Week for the Autumn/Winter 2015 collections in February. We were delighted to be selected to do the nails for the Orla Kiely and Rejina Pyo shows.
We were selected to sponsor Lyndsay Mccintosh on nails for The Orla Kiely show which was presented on the second day of LFW and set in a mock library. The collection was outstanding and featured everyday casual wear including lots of cosy knitwear for the modern, fashionable woman. In reality, the clothes were a blend of two retro periods including a 60s mod silhouette and an easy-going 70s style. The colour palette was a mix of muted brights – greens, oranges, pink, yellow – and warm beiges, greys and black. The clothes also featured color-blocking and very distinctive prints, which are Kiely’s signature. As a result of so much colour and print, Kiely wanted the models to have very neutral hands. So, we selected OFAT’s Trill for all 14 models. The effect was a clean, nude nail that beautifully complemented the clothes.
We were delighted to be selected to sponsor Shreen Gayle on nails for The Rejina Pyo collection which was inspired by the Joshua Tree National Park and desert in California and featured 8 models showing 37 looks. Key features of the collection included a bright colour palette was bright, highly textured fabrics and unique shapes. Specifically, there were a wide range of blues used throughout the collection. Therefore, we carefully selected and mixed OFAT’s Sloane and Push colours creating a single blue colour which complemented the bright colours for an elegant, versatile look.
OFAT is proud to have played a part in this year’s London Fashion Week. We believe that our 5-free ethos and our vast range of more than 70 colours fit perfectly in the world of high-fashion. It seems that fashion designers think so too.
